we found out on july 23rd!!! after work one day i stopped by the dollar tree to get some pregnancy tests (thanks britt for the tip!). i went home and debated on taking them right away or should i wait for russ (he was at our favorite store home depot). i couldn't wait any longer...so i took one. and it came back positive! not knowing if the dollar tree pregnancy test was accurate i took another one (i had bought 5 of them). sure enough that one came back positive right away....at that point in knew russ was on his way home so i wrote on a little card. "i think you're going to be a...." and on the back of it i wrote "daddy". he came home and started working on his project (i think we were tearing tying the 2 houses together....i greeted him with a nervous and excited look and said come to the bathroom with me.
he was as shocked as i was and all he kept saying is "cool...cool...are you sure this is for real?" we were in shock for the rest of the night...i don't think it hit us for awhile but we were definitely so excited!!!! russ got me a pregnancy book and baby names book the next day!
the hard part now....keeping a secret until going home on august 12th!
